On Thursday, January 6, 2012, Fort Lauderdale reverberated with bass and electro blows. The first excursion of HARD Holy Ship! was preparing to set sail on a four-day at-sea electro rage the following afternoon. Before hopping onboard, attendees and DJs gathered at Revolution Live in Fort Lauderdale for a monumental sendoff. Sounds by Destructo, Dillon Francis, Craze and Major Lazer floated palpable energy through the room. Mixed genres flirted and bounced, and antics were at an anticipated high. Francis hyped the crowd, Craze amazed with turntable tricks and Diplo hosted yet another Major Lazer carnival to launch the bodacious boat's trip on the high seas. From glitch-hop to tech-house, reggaetone to dancehall, the playground of sounds kept fans on their feet until 3 a.m. Melodysiac was lucky enough to get invited on stage for some front-row action. In turn, we captured some of the V.I.P. craziness for your viewing pleasure.
